The spot is exposed with limited shade but rewards with incredible sunrise and sunset views. Access is via Schnebly Hill Road, which can be extremely rough and washboard-heavy when climbing up from Sedona. A smoother approach is to come in from the Highway 17 side instead.
There are additional camping options along this ridge further up the road if this spot is taken, making it a flexible area to find a setup.
