Summary
A scenic dispersed camping spot in Valley of the Gods near Mexican Hat, Utah, surrounded by towering red rock formations and wide-open desert landscapes. This area offers incredible views in every direction, making it a standout place to camp if youβre exploring southern Utah.
The main road through Valley of the Gods is generally manageable in dry conditions, with plenty of pull-offs and campsites scattered along the route. Sites are primitive with no services, but the setting more than makes up for itβespecially at sunrise and sunset when the rock formations light up.
This is a great option for overland camping with easy access, iconic scenery, and multiple spots to choose from along the road.
