Summary
Severed D is a mountain bike trail on Mount Seymour in Vancouver, British Columbia known for its mix of technical features and improved flow following updates in recent years. One of the older trails on the mountain, it remains a key connector within the network, linking into trails like John Deer and C-Buster.
The trail starts with a steep, stepped chute and rock roll feature, which can be bypassed via the “Dickie” alternate. From there, it transitions into a more rolling, pumpy section before leading into a sustained descent that becomes progressively steeper. Riders can expect a mix of rock rolls, small drops, low skinnies, and ladder bridges, finishing with a more flowy section before exiting onto Bridle Path.
Severed D is downhill-only for mountain bikers and is also popular with hikers and runners, so expect shared trail use and ride with caution. A solid option for intermediate to advanced riders looking for a technical descent with some flow on Mount Seymour.
